D.Pharm (Diploma in Pharmacy): D.Pharm is a diploma-level program that typically spans two years. It focuses on the fundamental aspects of pharmacy, including subjects like pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, and hospital pharmacy. D. Pharm graduates primarily work as pharmacy technicians, assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications, compounding prescriptions, managing inventory, and providing patient counseling. They find employment opportunities in pharmacies, hospitals, and healthcare settings.
B. Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy): B. Pharm is an undergraduate degree program that spans four years. It provides comprehensive knowledge and training in pharmaceutical sciences, including subjects like pharmacology, pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry, pharmacognosy, and pharmaceutical analysis. B. Pharm graduates are eligible to work as pharmacists in various settings such as community pharmacies, hospitals, pharmaceutical industries, research organizations, and regulatory agencies. They can also pursue higher education options.
