Diploma in Pharmacy ( D. Pharm ) course is a career-oriented program in the areas of pharmaceutical sciences. It introduces the students to the basic concepts of pharmaceutical science and prepares them with the necessary skill and academic knowledge to secure positions in retail pharmacies for pharmaceutical companies. 

This under-graduate degree stresses on the elaboration of the medical field including preparation, dispensing and appropriate use of medication. Candidates can choose to pursue B. Pharm, B. Pharm Lateral and Pharma. D after completing the D. Pharm course.

Eligibility criteria

To take admission in D. Pharm courses, candidates are required to –
• Have completed the age of 17 on or before 1st January of the year of admission.
• Have passed 10 + 2 examinations or its equivalent examination in the General Stream Courses along with Physics, Chemistry and biology or mathematics
• Should have qualified CET conducted by WBSCTE&VE&SD on the admission year
NOTE: Candidates passing 10+2 examination or equivalent examination in Vocational Stream are not eligible for admission in D. Pharm as stated by the Pharmacy Council of India
